The
United States’ demand for
wood fiber far exceeds our available
timber inventories. Millions of board feet of lumber and
lumber products are imported every year, with the biggest
supply to the U.S. market being Canada. Unlike the Canadian
supply, most of our imported wood is plantation grown from
highly regulated and managed forests. This ensures a reliable,
on-going supply at competitive prices.
