GWI is committed to environmental stewardship and sustainable development. While we are not timber producers, do not own timberland and have no logging operations, we are buyers, sellers and re-manufacturers of forest products and building materials and therefore feel a responsibility to the worlds’ forest lands. By specifying and using woods from sustainable-managed forests, architects, designers, wood products manufacturers, and consumers are financially supporting efforts directed at sustainable forestry, reduced impact logging, and other good forest management practices.

We are proud of our Chain of Custody Certification through the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) and strive to partner with suppliers that are committed to sustained yield and responsible forestry practices.
